Significant acclaim has also been won by our larger Targa GRAN TURISMO models with their sophisticated sliding roof configuration, an elegant and practical design concept that from its very launch, opened up a whole new spectrum of cruising possibilities.
In essence therefore, the introduction of the new Targa 38GT allows us to offer the very best of all worlds. In her iconic OPEN form, she already punches well above her weight, in terms of performance and the spacious luxury of her accommodation, but the new hardtop design with its beautifully engineered electric sliding canvas roof will provide the transformation many owners have been hoping for.
A compact, sleek and stylish model with exhilarating performance, yet with the full cruise-anywhere capability of her larger Targa sisters.
Design improvement programs continue relentlessly at Fairline and as a result, the Targa 38 range benefits from some fresh thinking. Adding to the list of space-defying features, there is now the option of a sofa in the guest cabin that converts into a third berth. There is also a host of subtle and not-so-subtle design changes.
Subtle changes include the use of a greater area of glazing in the hull, letting in even more natural light and opening up an even better view of the outside world; access to the aft cabin has also been improved and upgrades introduced to soft furnishings, saloon lockers and galley worktops.
In the not-so-subtle department, both models will now be available with twin Volvo Penta D6-400 sterndrive engines which will deliver an estimated top speed of around 45 knots, making these the fastest Fairlines ever built.
